The Circus Range from Essence has been around for a little while and is set to disappear soon, so if you are loving Glitter and looking for something cheap, cheerful and (wait for it.....) EASY to remove.. get your bum to an Essence stand and grab yourself one of these...
The Essence Circus Range has been around since Christmas 2011 and its set to be replaced soon... so you have been warned.
This is Cotton Candy. Its a double ended brush with a polish attached at each end. Its Pink. Candy Pink. Bubble Gum Pink. And the other side is a lovely pink and purple glitter suspended in a pink tinted jelly. Gorgeous alone or layered.
It costs €3.49. Which is pretty reasonable, and there are/were 4 variances to choose from. I fell in love with Cotton Candy.
The only thing I found with this is that the pink base layer can look a bit flat. Its not a shiny colour unless you put a good top coat over it. I used Sally Hansen Insta-Dry. Its the Shiz.
The 3rd best thing about this polish is that the base (or solid) colour is opaque in one coat. Nicely Done Essence. Wear is ok, I got 2 days before I saw definite tip-wear, but no chipping until day 4.
The 2nd best part about this is that the pink glitter polish looks fab on its own or layered over the base colour.
|Top: 1 coat of base colour|
Middle: One coat of glitter
Bottom: Glitter over base colour. 1 coat of each
The BEST thing about the glitter polish is that it comes off easily. No scraping, swearing or picking needed.
I like to swipe each nail with a bit of nail varnish remover so that it can start working, then I hold a soaked (with polish remover) cotton pad over the nail for 20 - 30 seconds and it just wipes off. Easy Peasy.
I went back to my local stand to see if they had any other colours and they didn't. I won't lie, I was a bit disappointed.
Oh well. That will teach me...
