8 Nudes Knocking About in My Bag(s)

I emptied my "handbags" the other day. I own a total of 3 handbags. I actually find them a bit cumbersome: they get filled with nonsense and papers and crap and bump stuff off the shelves and I can never find what I am looking for in them, so generally I do without. Anyway, I was looking for a lipstick, a rather specific one. I didn't find it. I did find 8 other lipsticks. All of the nude variety. This was odd. As I had rather thought I was on a bit of a colour kick...

Varying in price, most of these are MY nudes. A pinky nude-y colour, Most suit me, one makes me look cadaverous if I use it too thickly (yeah, look, I was hurrying when I bought it) But I use these on a pretty regular basis. at least 2 or three times a week. Sometimes more than one in a day too, it just depends on where I am going, what I am doing and who I am seeing.

From top to bottom:

Benefit Hydra Smooth Lip Colour (€22) - WingWoman
I won this in a gieaway, but I will happily replace this as it is a properly lovely formula. Enriched with shea butter, mango butter and vitamin E, this feels nice and lightweight and does a good job of hydrating the lips. Longevity and pigmentation is rather good so you should get a good few hours of wear out of this. Its also easy to apply without a mirror, for me, because it is pretty much my lip colour, but richer and lovlier and nicer.

Catrice Nude Purism Gentle Lip Colour (€4.99) - C03 Delicate Rosewood
A Limited Edition, I adore this. I love it so much I bought 2. Lush on the lips with a pretty colour that just makes me happy. This applies like a lipbalm and does the same job, its just more pigmented and looks more fancy in the bullet.

NYX Jumbo Lip Pencil  (€4.99) - Soft Fuchsia
One of my very first NYX purchases. I need to get more of these, I really do. These are fabulously pigmented, especially considering the small price. Longevity is surprisingly good as well and the fact that you can sharpen the pencil means you can get a very precise line.

Catrice Nude Purism Gentle Lip Colour (€4.99) - C04 Nearly Nude
As above, this is more on the nude side of the colour-scale. with all the qualities of its Delicate Rosewood cousin. I don't wear this as often as the colour looks a little meh on me but its sheer and as long as I'm light on application, I think I get away with it. It is in my bag because its like lipbalm. And I like my lipbalm.

essence Limited Edition i love nude Longlasting Nude (€2.89) - Its Nude Time
This is the one that makes me look a bit dead if I lash it on. I was running through the pharmacy, grabbed this while running to the till and I bloody grabbed the wrong one. Sigh. I am sure I will find a way to use this at halloween... It is super pigmented though,

Catrice Beautifying Lip Smoother (€3.99) - Cake Pop
I FREAKING LOVE THIS STUFF! Smells amazing, feels amazing. There are no scrubby bits here, but lots of hydrating ingredients in a lovely soft colour balm that just feels soft and squishy on my lips without the stickiness you would usually associate with a cheap gloss. And If you know me at all you will know I cannot abide stickiness on my lips, I would rather have lips so dry they are falling off me than have stickiness on them. *shudders* Catrice Beautifying Lip Smoother is amazing and you need it.

essence Glossy Lipbalm (around €2.50 I can't remember exactly)  - Raspberry Sorbet
not my favourite favourite, but it smells and tastes rather delicious. It is a little sticky, but only a little, and its more slippy than sticky so I have forgiven it for that. Not much colour in it, but it does give a nice bit of shine for an hour or so and its cheap and cheerful and I'm not worried if it gets lost because there are loads of other "flavours"

NYX Butter Gloss (€6.49) - Créme Brulee
I fall in and out of love with this. There are days when I love this and I like how it looks on my lips and days when I get too much out of the tube and end up tissue-ing the whole lot off because its turned into a gloopy mess. It smells lovely, gives a hint of hydration and looks great if applied sparingly over The Jumbo Lip Pencil I mentioned above.

These are just the ones I found in my 3 bags. These are not the ones in my makeup drawer.

Do you own any of these? Do you feel the same way about them?

And I am still looking for that other lipstick....
