Imperial Leather: Not just for the boys...

I honestly hadn't noticed Imperial Leather's Foamburst Body Washes on the shelves until the lovely bubbly Sue Jordan mentioned these equally lovely bubbles in October 2013. And Apparently they have been on  shelves for a long time... I have just never noticed them because I don't really use shaving creams/foams/gels. I wish I had noticed them though... cos they are awesome.

I think there are 7 "Flavours" in this rebrand, each combination sounds lovely, I picked up the "Imperial Leather Foamburst Body Wash in Green Tea & Jasmine" and "Imperial Leather Foamburst Body Wash Honey & Almond Milk", both of which are lovely. They are scented beautifully, but very lightly so it won't compete with your perfume if you shower in the morning.

It also makes a really, really good shaving cream. I got a great shave when I used it, even with my really, really cheap razors. I get a good close shave (on the days that I decide to shave) even when I haven't shaved in a few/many days. It isn't particularly moisturising, but then I didn't expect them to be, and its isn't that they are drying, but I do like to slap on a bit of moisturiser after using these... just to be sure.

They claim that you can get "up to 40 showers" out of one can, but I have used this every night since I picked them up at the beginning of December... which means that one can has lasted me 55 showers before it didn't dispense. Yep. 15 more than advertised. And I wasn't particularly mean about how much I used, even though you only need about a pecan nut sized blob to produce a whole lot of silky creamy foam.

RRP is around the €4, but if you find these on offer snap up a few and chuck them in the cupboard. Or keep them all in your shower and use a different one every time. I picked mine up in Tesco and I paid €2.39 for each can of happy bubbles.

    1. I have just finished my first tin and I have already gotten the next tin out of the cupboard to use! And I am really enjoying using a foam to shave with too, the razor doesn't clog!
