New Brushes: Úr Brushes

Looking for a super cute stocking stuffer for a makeup fiend lover? Úr Makeup is the place to go! Created by Makeup Artist Nichola Graham (She's Irish!!!), this is a pretty awesome set.

This little purple pouch contains 4 double-ended brushes and costs just €10. Yep, a mini brush set that will fit into your makeup bag for a tenner. And this is a great spend.

The brushes have soft bristles that, as far as I can make out, are synthetic. You get 7 brushes and a smudge sponge. The brushes are fab. The smudge sponge isn't. It is the only thing in the set that didn't impress me at all. This sponge is extremely hard, inflexible and scratchy. But that is only one out of 8, and the other seven are wonderful.

I have used all the brushes and they are great multi-taskers especially if you are going away and don't want to pack too much. They wash like a dream, haven't shed on me yet and they apply products pretty nicely too!

These are the brushes that have made their way to South Africa with me. I really like that the lip brush has a little plastic cap so that you don't get lippy all over the case while you are traveling.

I am not a brush expert. I don't own a single MAC or Sigma brush. I have a few Black Canvas brushes, a Real Techniques brush, and lots of ELF brushes, and to me this set is just as nice as the Black Canvas brushes.

As a travel brush set that works and is cheap enough that you don't mind if a brush goes missing or for a beginner, I recon this set is pretty much spot on.

These little sets come in Red, Blue, Yellow and Orange (the pink and purple sets are sold out) and shipping was super quick. A pretty pressie for €10, You can't go far wrong. Check out Úr Make up on their website or twitter.

**This was purchased with my own money.
