NYC Expert Last Lippies...

A lovely balm-like lipstick for €2.49 you say? Oh and it lasts for about 4 hours before you have to re-apply? Colours to suit all skin tones or moods? Ah yes... Good old NYC is onto another winner with the gorgeous Expert Last Collection...

NYC Extra Last Lipstick & Liquid Lipshine

I am loving these! As far as colour intensity and payoff goes, I would quite happily put these on par with Rimmels Lipsticks, but NYC is better as they aren't as drying as the Rimmel ones. Oh and they are loads cheaper than Rimmel too!

There are 14 shades to choose from, so you should find something to fit your mood. Or you could pick up a few of them and leave them in convenient places. The nuder colours are perfect as they don't need a mirror and they give a perfect flush of colour with a little boost of moisture.

swatched indoors...

I am amazed at the consistancy of NYC Expert Last Lippies. They apply like a balm and feel like a balm on the lips. I have been wearing them everyday for a week now, re-applying when I feel like it is wearing off (about every 3 - 4 hours) and my lips are in fab condition, and I am only applying a lip balm at night before bed.

Swatched in the sunshine...

I was send 6 of the 14 shades that are available and I am in love with every single one of them. Totally worth their teeny tiny €2.49 price tag. These would make a great treat for a friend or a lovely little pick me up for oneself!

Special mention goes to NYC Liquid Lipshine:

Loving Liquid Lipshine. Loving!

I am not a fan of lipgloss. It generally smells good but tastes funny, feels a bit gloopy, the colour is very sheer, it attracts fly-away hairs like a soda attracts wasps, sometimes it attracts actual insects. And I don't find them particularly long lasting.

But this.... THIS is Different!!!! This costs €2.29. It tastes ok and smells delish. While the colour is sheer, it isn't gritty and it surprisingly flattering. While this is called Rockerfeller Red, its not red, instead a lovely flushed pink.

Its rather moisturising, but the most surprising thing is its longevity. The first time I applied this, I popped some on at about 3pm in the afternoon (after Mr Postie dropped it off), and after lunch and homework and dinner and dessert and late night snacks, I could still feel it on my lips at 10pm when I went to shower.

This one is a keeper!
