SMS - Save my Skin : La Roche Posay Effaklar to the rescue

My skin threw a tantrum on me one week (after using a Reformulated product) and I have been trying since June 2012 to get my skin back to normal. I broke out like a mo-fo, with humongous spots, red, sore, angry, weepy and not wanting to heal at all. So I turned to a former saviour: La Roche Posay Effaklar, specifically the K one.

La Roche Posay Effaklar K: My Skin Saviour

You can see how they have changed the lids, which is fab as the new lid allows the tube to stand on its head so that the fluid is directed to the little nozzle and so that you don't have to squish the tube into funny shapes to get the last bits out of the tube.

I started off using this twice a day (mornings and evenings) all over my face and also topping up on the spotty areas at lunch times.

The thinnish white fluid of Effaklar K lives up to its promise to moisturise whiles helping to unclog pores and sort out infection. It helped to dry out the spots without seriously drying out my skin. It spreads easily and sinks in quickly. I am loving it.

This is the product that my skin care has revolved around in the last few weeks, but for the first month, this was the only moisturiser I used on my face and neck. I have added a few other products to  try to accommodate my skins changeability, but apart from cleanser, this was my saviour.

Skinny nozzle allows you to control how much fluid comes out so you don't waste any...

A 30 ml tube retails at around €16, which is fantastic value and fits perfectly into my budget. And the Tube had lasted me a good three months and I still have at least a quarter of the tube left. Effaklar K s a staple in my stash and its something that my Husband uses when he thinks I am not looking too. I am not the only one: Andreea from Your Beauty loves Effaklar K too !

Effaklar has a whole host of moisturisers for problem oily skins and they are all fantastic, all at a reasonable price and available widely in Pharmacies & Boots stores around the country and I seriously recommend checking them out!

  2. Love this stuff! I agree, I'd bought it awhile ago and when I ran out was convinced there was still some in the tube but it was that tube (and yep I had it in all sorts of strange Shapes!)
