Mani(c) Mondays... NKOT(BB)B NYC

There is a lovely New Kid On The (budget busting) Block: New York Colour or NYC for short. And their Autumn/Winter offerings are gorgeous, especially their nail polishes!

Deep reds and luscious berry colours dominate for nails in the colder months, and while reds have never really featured in my collection, I am pleased to welcome some into my stash. And the fact that the NYC Expert Last Nail Polish (9.7ml) bottles are priced at a measly €1.99, and the NYC In a NY Minute Quick Dry Nail Polish (9.7ml) are priced at €1.29, they are clearly competing with the likes of Essence and Catrice, and they are holding their own very well so far.

This is 001 Rock Muse Smokey Top Coat over 235 Fine Red Wine.

NYC... nw to me

I love, love, LOVE how the smokey top coat still allows the colour of the beautiful winter red to come through, while giving a bit of bling in the small and medium silver glitter. And with the mornings feeling a bit nippy this is definitely evoking fond thoughts of being snuggled into a favourite couch in front of a fire with a lovely glass on the table...

Application was smooth and easy with full opacity in 2 thin coats and drying time was very quick. The smokey top coat took a little longer to dry, but since I was watching a movie 20 minutes of sitting still wasn't an issue to make really sure I was going to smudge it.

Wear time is great, I have been wearing this combo (without a top coat) for 4 days and I only noticed my first chip this morning. But I was busy in the garden and garage (glove-less) yesterday, so its to be expected.

I am loving these beauties and expect a swatchfest of other colours I was sent...
