Flower Power Shower

Kniepp products are quietly carving a niche for themselves on the shelves of Irish pharmacies with good quality, well priced products, that do the job.


I have already used the Warm Embrace Bath Oil, and the Sinus Relief Bath Salts, both to great effect. But since I don't bath very often, (I like to shower) I am loving all over their Flower Power Herbal Body Wash. 

I parted with my hard earned €4.99 and purchased a 200ml squeezy tube with the all important fliptop lid, filled with a clear peachy coloured gel that smells delicately of Earthy Patchouli. When I first saw them I also picked up the Lavender one, but when I smelled them, I put the lavender one back and took this one to the till. The scent was overwhelmingly relaxing and calming and I needed it. 

Patchouli is the original Hippy essential oil. Known the world over for its totally zen, relaxing, balancing properties and this is flipping lovely, without the nasty hippy side effects (bad hygiene).

Its soft, spicy, vaguely floral yet earthy scent is strangely lulling and refreshing at the same time. And I have to say, during "that time of the month" I am reaching for this more than anything else. I like the way it smells more than the cocoa butter smell that I normally reach for. 


The gel is quite liquid and runny and lathers soft and silky, and because it is quite runny, you don't need loads to produce a ton of soft spicy suds. I don't feel the need to lash on body lotion after I get out of the shower either, thanks to the hemp oil. 

Kneipp have 10 (as far as I can count) other body washes in their range, and as far as I could see, they range from around €4.99 to around the €9 mark. You should be able to find them in a pharmacy near you.
