Not so revolting..... Catrice strikes again

So Catrice's Revoltaire collection finally arrived in my Willage (wee village, get your mind out of the gutter....), and it wasn't as nice as I had hoped it was going to be.

Catrice Revoltaire Blush Colour Bomb

The one thing that I did however pick up was the blush. And I am so glad I did. I am going to be picking up a spare. It is THAT lovely. Its Limited Edition, so if you want it, get it quick!

I am not a blush aficionado, I only own 3 powder blushers, two of which I won, and I am always deathly afraid of stepping out of the door looking like Bosco. So I generally use a light hand and then blend blend blend until its unnoticeable...

But with this lovely silky powder, I am being a bit more adventurous (even more than with the Nars Orgasm blush I won). Housed in a good heavy, chunky acrylic cube, just like single eyeshadows. I like it.

It costs €4.99, and is a gradient powder, going from a goldey-shimmery peach through a lovely pink and into a gorgeous coral. It really is beautiful.

colours on their own, from light to dark

All this blends and mixes into something that really really reminds me of Nars Orgasm, but with less of the gold shimmer that Orgasm holds. Its a day-time Orgasm (yeah... your mind is in the gutter again isn't it?)

All blended together...
Used with a light hand it gives barely there colour.

lightly swatched, you can just see the gold shimmer...

Used a bit more heavily... you can build up a lovely colour and really get the same colour that Nars Orgasm will give, including the gold shimmer. But since I am not into anything heavy (except breathing *wink* ), below is a bit more of a medium application, and its still not mad. I really like it.

medium swatch, a lovely colour.

All in all I am loving this. I want another. I will have another.

Not a Bosco in sight...

Oh, and do you like my hair? Its the first time its ever been lovely and curly (as opposed to a perm gone wrong...)

Tomorrow I am taking my folks to the airport, I will not be smiling so widely then....
