Correctly Capturing Chameleons...

Just so you know, I took about 83 pictures of this, to try to capture the colour properly. I have come close, but  I admit its not perfect, not 100%. You need to see this in the flesh. You NEED to.

This is a new shade offering from budget brand Catrice. Part of the Absolute Eye Colour range of singles, this is shade 410 C'mon Chameleon! And its worth more than the €2.79 price tag.

C'mon Chameleon is a beautiful grey/green/blue/silver iridescent in the pan. And its not overspray. This gorgeousness goes all the way in (I saw a broken one and swatched the bottom of the pan to make sure). On your skin it changes to a beautiful  shimmery purpley/reddish/brown if you use it with a light hand, and a really awesome grungy colour if you start layering it on or pack it on densely.

Because of all the beautiful colours it is incredibly difficult to photograph accurately, it changes with the light and angle,  and then, just a slight shift of your face and the colour changes again. Just look:

This is well pigmented and easy to blend with hardly any fall out, but looks best just used on its own and blended out a little into the crease but packed heavily onto the lid. Be careful though, if blended out too much it just looks like a big massive bruise. You have been warned.

Top: 3 passes (with my finger)
Bottom: one pass blended out
Unfortunately its longevity lets it down a little. Well it does for me (I need a decent primer). It needs a bit of touching up after about 4 hours as the colour looses its iridescence a bit.  But its such a gorgeous colour I forgive it.

I cannot photograph this colour on my eyes nicely. Its Impossible.

The clear acrylic pot contains 2g of product, which is budget-tastic and a big winner for me at the moment. I have had this since mid-November and I have used it at least twice a week since then and I have hardly made a dent in it. But because it is just so pretty I am going to pick up a spare, cos the way my luck is going it will be discontinued.

So what do you think? Catrice do it for you?

  4. @ Sarah & CFG: Really? I don't own any MAC and have never even been near a stand, so I have no clue. But I love it.

Miss Fluff: You are most welcome. Glad I could save you some (mac) money
