I started by laying down 2 thin coats of Mona Lisa and letting them dry well between coats. I was feeling far too sick and weak to use a base coat, so this time I was just hoping that the polish would last.
|I Love this polish so much the print is coming off the bottle :)|
After a suitable period of time had passed I started with Make It Golden. I had literally just touched the brush to my nail when my son came tearing into the room demanding a drink and something to eat. So I downed tools and went to see to his needs. Once He had been suitably fed and watered, I realised that I quite liked the initial effect of just having a small portion of the nail covered in Glitter.
Hmmm.... So I just blobbed it on (you kinda need to blob this polish on so you can get a good bit of glitter to place nicely) and swished the glitter around only covering part of the nail. I went about the next 30 minutes very carefully as the layer was quite thick and I didn't want to smudge it or transfer glitter polish to my dressing gown... I was sick okay
This "do" got a good few compliments and I had two people ask me where I had my nails done which is pretty cool considering I paid €2.79 for the Catrice Polish and €1.29 for the Essence one. The polish lasted just over a week before I started getting tip wear so I was really pleased with this combination and the compliments that it got.
I think I found my Christmas nails :) Its sparkly and and pretty and eye catching while still being suitable subtle and lady-like... everything I try (and fail) to be.
