its time....

Its time to start embracing.

Its time to start preparing.

Its time to start making lists.

And checking them twice....

Yep peeps, its mid November and its okay to mention Christmas without using hushed tones or euphemisms.

So this is a subtle nail for Christmas. I am ALL about the subtle at the moment. Until we hit December then I will dig out my light up Christmas tree earrings and hand knitted  Rudolph Jersey (neither of which I actually own, but I am on the look out).

I am going to call this look Mother Christmas' Knickers. Its a green velvet and gold lace inspired look :)

My base coat of choice is Avon's 24k Gold Strength.

Followed by two coats of Catrice's After Eight (shade 600). This is a rich, dark green, it makes me think of velvet.

As an accent on my ring fingers I used 2 coats of Essence's Make It Golden (shade 67). This is a tricky polish to work with, if you want an even coverage of glitter all over the nail surface, you need to dab this polish on in a thickish coat and then distribute the glitter by pushing it around quickly before the polish starts to dry. Its really pretty, but a beee-yotch to get off.

On the other nails I used my base coat as a top coat again.

I loved this. It was dark without being goth, and sparkly with being in your face.

  4. Hahaha the name is brilliant! I love that after eight polish, not so gone on the essence - it does look fab, but I HATE taking it off!! They look brilliant together, really nice :)
