I have a sneaky suspicion that this is actually aimed at men. Why? I hear you ask. Cos it was hidden in the tiny male cosmetics section in my local Dunnes. The only reason why I noticed it was because of the Big "Special Offer" Tag below it.
I picked this up for €1.29. I also picked up the mint one for my husband, as we had recently discussed the perfect combination of smells for a Hangover shower gel.
Anyways. I am not entirely sure how I feel about this gel. It sudded up nicely, smelled nice, without being overly feminine. But it was sweet. It smelled familiar, but I can't place it. My skin felt a bit tight after using this and I felt like I had to put cream on very soon after my shower.
It does contain 2% fair trade honey and Shea Butter. And it was cheap. And everything about the bottle is recyclable, even the lid, which is a big plus. But otherwise it didn't impress me all that much. I think the smell was a bit overwhelming. I was glad to get it finished so I could move onto something else.
Himself is liking the mint one. So much so that he asked me to get him another one for when the first one runs out. I have tried it. its minty and fresh. Perfect for a warm summers morning. Its tingly and cooling. Not so great for a cold wintery morning. I will let him enjoy its effects.
I am already onto the next one in my collection...
I really love the mint one - and the lemon one too!
ReplyDeleteKeep meaning to try the mint one, will add it to my list of things to try :)
ReplyDeleteI love the mint one, I've never seen this one! My current obsession is a Pink Grapefruit one from Aldi, could honestly eat it.
