I have been using these two creams during the day for the month of September. They retail at €25 for the Avon Anew Clinical Eye Lift and €23.25 for the Anew Rejuvenate Day Revitalising Cream SPF 25. These are often available on offer so you don't have to pay full price for them.
The eye cream was pretty average. It is essentially a cream for the under eye area and a gel for the upper eye. The cream almost feels like its filled with air bubbles that are popping when you pat it on the under eye area. It is a hydrating cream, but its not really done anything for the fine lines around my peepers. The gel is pretty hit or miss. If you put too much on, it dries in such a way that you can peel it off. Not pretty. So its 'Holly Go-lightly' with this one. Also didn't really see any tightening on my 30something eyelids.
The surprise for me was the day cream. With some of the older offerings from Avon (they have re-launched their re-formulated budget and luxe offerings) I was prone to break-outs and general sensitivity within a few days of using their other creams. But this was different.
I like that is has a SPF 25. I like that it is quickly absorbed. I like that I haven't broken out. It smells fairly pharmaceutical, which I kind of like. I haven't had the sensitivity that I got from their previous offerings. I have been using this over my Estee Lauder Skin Illuminator and they go together pretty well.
The cream is rich enough to be hydrating, without leaving me feeling like I have an oil-slick dripping off my face. I don't wear foundation every day, but as long as I set the foundation with a bit of powder, then I don't have a problem.
A little goes a long way. I know many people don't like creams in Jars, but since I put my face cream on after I have washed my face (and my hands), my hands are clean. And I don't share. So I don't mind the glass jar which is heavy and very luxe... and prone to falling on the floor...thank goodness my bedroom floor is carpeted.
